Eligibility: The Competition is free to enter and open to children between the ages of 5 -11 and the entries are judged on Inspiration, Imagination & Creativity.

Legal Guardian: Entry into the contest denotes that the Parent or Legal Guardian gives permission for the submitted work to be considered by the Reviewers and Judges.

Cash Prize: The Prize must be accepted by the Parent or Legal Guardian of the named winner. There are no alternatives to the cash prize, whole or in part.

Book Prize: All entrants will receive 1 copy of the Paperback Book, 1 copy of the eBook.

Author Royalties: The Light Age Press will pay the winning entrant fifty percent (20%) twice yearly of the author royalties from the eBook, 20% of author royalties from the Paperback Book – after Amazon costs.

Entrant Details: It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct up-to-date details when entering the Contest, and when accepting the Prize. The Light Age Press cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply the correct information which adversely affects prize acceptance, or the transfer of their prize money.

The winning entrant’s Parent or Legal Guardian grants The Light Age Press the ongoing right to use any and all promotional materials that include but are not restricted to, the winners name, likeness, picture, and video.

Entries: The Contest is limited to one entry per child. Any additional entries will be disqualified. Entries must fall within the specified guidelines issued on the Sarah Tirri Children’s Foundation Website to be eligible for entry into the contest.

Offensive Content: Any entries The Light Age Press considers vulgar, offensive, indecent, racist, or fraudulent, will be immediately disqualified.

Copyright: All stories submitted must not have been published previously in either text, digital or audio formats. By entering the Contest, the Legal Guardian agrees that the work is free from any copyright limitations.

Ownership: Sarah Tirri owns the copyright to every winning story.

Rights: By entering the Contest, the Legal Guardian of the entrant grants The Light Age Press a world-wide, perpetual, binding and exclusive right to edit, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish and use the winning story.

Winner Selection: The Sarah Tirri Children’s Foundation in conjunction with The Light Age Press will nominate the Reviewers and Guest Judges. The winner will be selected by The Light Age Press in conjunction with the nominated Reviewers and Guest Judges. The Reviewers and Guest Judge’s decision is final.

The Opening and Closing Period of the Contest: The contest will open again on January 1st 2025 at 5pm and close on May 1st 2025 at 5pm. The Light Age Press reserves the right to extend the closing date due to insufficient entries being received. All updates to this effect will be posted on the site.

Legal Jurisdiction: The Writing Contest and the terms and conditions specified, and any potential disputes arising, will be subject to American Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the American Courts.

Data Protection: Any personal information the entrant shares will be kept secure.

The winning entrant agrees to telephone 888 660 1979 within 7 business days of receiving notification of their WIN. Notification will be sent via email. Failure to contact/acknowledge us by telephone within 7 business days of being notified of the WIN will immediately disqualify the Participant from being announced the winner. The cash prize and royalties will be immediately forfeited.
